Contrast Therapy
SAUNA
Duration: 10–15 minutes in a sauna
Goal: Increase circulation, open pores, warm muscles, and begin sweating
PLUNGE
Duration: 1–3 minutes in a cold plunge or ice bath (10–15°C or 50–60°F)
Goal: Trigger vasoconstriction, reduce inflammation, boost alertness
REPEAT
Repeat 2–3 rounds of hot (10–15 min) then cold (1–3 min)
Rest briefly (1–2 minutes) between transitions to regulate breathing and allow effects to settle
END COLD
Cold: Finish with cold to reduce inflammation and promote recovery
